A good test before the osprey cup resumes. The strong Merthyr side tested the Cwm defence to the limit with some superb play and took the lead with a penalty, Cwm faught back with a well worked try, but Merthyr finished the half with a try and conversion to take a 10 - 5 lead. The 2nd half saw some bone crunching tackles from both sides and Cwm scored another try before a well taken penalty by the impressive Merthyr 10 who had not missed a kick all game, Cwm then scored another couple of tries  to take the game 22-13
